Free Spooky Party at Ashby Library: Saturday 31 October
Admin AshbyBID • October 1, 2026
Ashby's free Spooky Party takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026, from 11am to 1pm, at Ashby Library and Tourist Information Centre on North Street. Children can paint their own ceramic pumpkin or suncatcher, get their face painted and pick up a balloon animal. Come in fancy dress for some spooky sweets!
What's on at the Spooky Party?
There is plenty to keep little monsters busy:
- Paint your own ceramic pumpkin or suncatcher to take home
- Face painting for a spooky (or not so spooky) look
- Balloon animals made on the day
- Spooky sweets for everyone who comes in fancy dress
When and where is it?
The Spooky Party is on Saturday 31 October, Halloween itself, from 11am to 1pm.
It takes place at Ashby Library and Tourist Information Centre, North Street, Ashby de la Zouch, LE65 1HU.
How much does it cost?
The Spooky Party is completely free!
Do children need to wear fancy dress?
Fancy dress is not essential, but it is encouraged. Everyone who comes dressed up will receive spooky sweets, so dig out those witch hats, capes and pumpkin costumes!
What else can we do in Ashby this Halloween?
Make a day of it in town. Before the party, try the Halloween Town Trail on the free Visit Ashby app (running 19 to 23 October), or explore Market Street's independent shops and cafés.
The party is sponsored by the Tourist Information Centre and Ashby BID, funded by the businesses of Ashby.
