In January 2026 Gillespies were appointed by Ashby De La Zouch Town Council & Ashby BID to prepare a review of the Town Centre, offering some analysis and draw some concept designs for the identified key projects to improve the town centre.
The Town Council and Business Improvement District (BID) kindly provided the following reports, which helped frame a background to the Town:
• Ashby De la Zouch Brand Guidelines
• Place Quality Audit
• Neighbourhood Plan
• North West Leicestershire Local Plan& Regeneration Framework
• Ashby Project Final Summary
• Ashby Design Code
In June 2026 the final report was completed and the proposed five exciting projects are now available to view by clicking on the link below.
The projects are only concept drawings of what could be potentially delivered to further enhance and improve the town centre.
We would like to get the public’s feedback on each of the proposals and discuss the options available.
Providing feedback will help us to redefine the masterplan and will allow us to be able to have costed projects which could be delivered should future funding opportunities become available.
Consultation deadline: 31 July 2026
All responses received by email will be saved on the council system and email addresses will then be deleted. The survey data will be collected, analysed and stored by the Town Council.
The results of the survey, including the number of responses received, will be published on the Town Council website. All survey data is anonymous and personal information is not asked for or required. If any questionnaires are returned to the Town Council with personal information included, that personal information will be erased. Thank you for taking the time to complete this questionnaire.
A paper copy of the survey is available for you to download below or collected from the council offices.
