Christmas in Ashby returns on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December 2026. The Christmas Market weekend fills Market Street and Brook Street with festive stalls, food and drink and live entertainment. It is free to attend and organised by Ashby BID, funded by the businesses of Ashby.
When is Christmas in Ashby 2026?
Christmas in Ashby takes place over the weekend of Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December 2026.
Last year the market ran from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
What can I expect at the Christmas Market?
Christmas in Ashby is one of the biggest weekends of the year in the town. Expect:
- Festive stalls selling gifts, crafts, food and treats
- Mulled wine, hot chocolate and festive food
- Live music and performances, including local schools
- Family fun and festive characters
- Ashby's independent shops, cafés and pubs open all weekend
How big is the Christmas Market?
The Christmas Market keeps growing. In 2025 it stretched the full length of Market Street for the first time, with 80 stalls and a second stage at the top of the street run by Brew.
Despite challenging weather, just under 6,000 people visited on the Saturday and a further 3,600 on the Sunday.
